To my Fellow Falcons known as the "Spirit of 76",
I offer these thoughts as our minds play tricks.
Can we really be forty years our from dear Firestone?
How many of us still call Akron home?
Some of us are dead and buried which is hard to believe,
I know that for those classmates we grieve.
But I also know that if Cheryl Bloch were alive
she would tell us to be make sure that we not only survive
but that we find great joy in the moment, the here and the now.
So, with Cheryl's spirit, I simply say WOW.
Let's celebrate the present, our future the past
and know that this moment will go by very fast.
